of Maryland. On July 1, 1978, the administration
of agreements with Ohio State University, the
Philadelphia College of Optometry, and the
Illinois College of Optometry also was
transferred to the State Board for Higher
Education. These agreements are in the nature of
contracts, and are not "compacts" within the
meaning of §32D. Sec. 32D now appears as §25—205
of this article with the Southern Regional
Education Compact.

THE BOARD MAY:

(1)   SECURE, COMPILE, AND EVALUATE INFORMATION ON
ANY MATTER WITHIN ITS AUTHORITY, ON THE FORMS IT REQUIRES,
FROM ANY PERSON, AGENCY, OR INSTITUTION SUBJECT TO ITS
JURISDICTION; AND

(2)   THROUGH ITS REPRESENTATIVES, VISIT AT ANY
REASONABLE TIMES, AND MAKE REASONABLE INSPECTIONS OF ANY
INSTITUTION SUBJECT TO ITS AUTHORITY.
