LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 987

(1)    THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE APPLICANT;

(2)    THE PARTICULAR LOCATION FOR WHICH THE
LICENSE CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL IS REQUIRED, DESIGNATING THE
STREET NUMBER IF PRACTICAL, AND IF NOT PRACTICAL THEN ANY
DESCRIPTION WHICH DEFINITELY LOCATES THE PREMISES;

(3)    THE NAME OF THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY UPON
WHICH THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME IS PROPOSED, IF OTHER THAN THE
APPLICANT;

(4)    A STATEMENT THAT THE APPLICANT WILL CONFORM
TO ALL LAWS AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT,
MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME; AND

(5)    A STATEMENT THAT THE APPLICANT HAS
SUFFICIENT FINANCIAL RESOURCES OR THAT SUFFICIENT FINANCIAL
RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE TO THE APPLICANT FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME.

20B.

(A)    BEFORE THE ADMINISTRATION GRANTS ANY LICENSE
CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL, IT SHALL CAUSE AN INVESTIGATION TO
BE MADE REGARDING THE APPLICANT, THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME
PROPOSED TO BE LICENSES APPROVED, AND THE FACTS SET FORTH IN
THE APPLICATION.

(B)    IN ADDITION, THE DIRECTOR SHALL HOLD A HEARING ON
THE APPLICATION, AT WHICH, PARTIES IN INTEREST AND CITIZENS
SHALL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD.

(C)    THE DIRECTOR SHALL GIVE NOTICE OF THE HEARING BY
ADVERTISEMENT AT LEAST TWICE IN ONE WEEK IN TWO NEWSPAPERS
PUBLISHED IN THE COUNTY WHERE THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME IS TO
BE LOCATED; IF THERE ARE NOT TWO NEWSPAPERS PUBLISHED IN THE
COUNTY THEN IN ONE NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN THE COUNTY; IF
THERE IS NOT ONE NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN THE COUNTY THEN IN A
NEWSPAPER HAVING A SUBSTANTIAL CIRCULATION IN THE COUNTY.

(D)    THE NOTICE SHALL SPECIFY THE FOLLOWING
INFORMATION:

(1)    THE NAME OF THE APPLICANT;

(2)    THE TYPE OF LICENSE APPROVAL APPLIED FOR;

(3)    THE LOCATION OF THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME TO
BE LICENSED APPROVED; AND

(4)    THE TIME AND PLACE FIXED BY THE DIRECTOR
FOR THE HEARING ON THE APPLICATION, WHICH SHALL BE NOT LESS
THAN SEVEN NOR MORE THAN 15 DAYS AFTER THE LAST PUBLICATION.

(I) AFTER THE HEARING AND ANY INVESTIGATION, THE

LICENSE CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL SHALL BE ISSUED IF THE

DIRECTOR FINDS THAT:
