AN ACT concerning
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
(Storm and Surface Water in City of Bowie)

FOR the purpose of eliminating the authority of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission concerning
storm and surface water in the City of Bowie; generally
relating to the authority and responsibilities of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and the City of
Bowie with respect to storm and surface water drainage
systems; correcting section references; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
The Code of the Washington Suburban
Sanitary District
Section 3-7 through 3-9, 3-11, and 3-12

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District and the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:
The Code of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District
3-7. (86-3-7 and 3-7)
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is hereby
authorized, when in its judgment it is deemed expedient or
necessary to plan, design, construct, maintain, and operate
a system for the control and disposition of surface waters
within the limits of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
District, and for such purpose, said commission is given all
of the power and authority, including the right to condemn,
herefore given it by law, in the construction and operation
