AN ACT concerning

Deaf Persons — Guide Dogs

FOR the purpose of providing for guide dogs for the deaf;
providing for a certain State policy for employment of

the deaf or audio handicapped; providing for certain

pedestrian rights; and providing for an exemption from
payment of dog license fees.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 30 - Deaf, Mute or Blind

33.

(a) It is the policy of this State to encourage and
enable the blind or the visually handicapped AND THE DEAF OR
AUDIO HANDICAPPED to participate fully in the social and
economic life of the State and to engage in remunerative
employment.
