FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the Prince
George's County Board of License Commissioners.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
155.
(g) In Prince George's County each of the members of
the board, except the chairman [thereof], shall receive an
annual salary of [$6,000] $8,000 and the chairman shall
receive an annual salary of [$6,500] $8,500. The board
shall meet at least two times per month. The administrator
of the board [who] shall be appointed by and serve at the
will of the board and [who] shall devote full time and
attention to the duties of the board. THE ADMINISTRATOR
shall receive an annual salary of not less than [ten
thousand dollars ($10,000.00);] $10,000 nor more than
[fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000)] $15,000 to be set by
the board of license commissioners[; the], THE attorney for
the board shall receive an annual salary of [six thousand
dollars ($6,000.00)] $6,000. The County Council is
authorized to appropriate and levy a sum sufficient to pay
for all expenses of the Prince George's County board of
license commissioners upon the submission of an annual
budget. In such budget, the salary of the members of the
board shall be approved as hereinbefore set forth; all other
expenses, including, but not restricted to, the compensation
of the inspectors, the compensation of the administrator as
limited herein, compensation of other personnel, who shall
be qualified and employed under the county merit system,
printing, supplies, and office space, shall be at the
discretion of the County Council for Prince George's County.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
