WHOEVER WILFULLY HARBORS ANY PRISONER PERSON IMPRISONED
FOR A FELONY AFTER HIS ESCAPE FROM THE CUSTODY OF THE
MARYLAND DEPARTMENT DIVISION OF CORRECTIONS, OR OTHER PLACE
OF CONFINEMENT, AFTER NOTICE OR KNOWLEDGE OF THE FACT THAT
THE PERSON HAS ESCAPED, AND AFTER NOTICE THAT HARBORING THAT
PERSON IS A PUNISHABLE OFFENSE, IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR
AND SHALL BE FINED NOT MORE THAN $1,000 OR IMPRISONED NOT
MORE THAN ONE YEAR, OR BOTH.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning
Baltimore City - Alcoholic Beverages
(Transfers of Licenses)
FOR the purpose of placing in Baltimore City certain
applications for transfer of alcoholic beverage
licenses under certain laws; requiring the approval of
more than a certain percentage of certain owners and
tenants of real or leasehold property; clarifying
language; and generally relating to the transfer of
alcoholic beverage licenses in Baltimore City.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
60.
(d) In Baltimore City if it [shall appear] APPEARS
that more than 50 percent in numbers of the owners of real
or leasehold property situated within 200 feet of the place
of business for which application is made are opposed to the
granting of the license, or if more than 50 percent of
