POPULATION CENTER OF THIS STATE.

(3) THE BRANCH SHALL BE ADMINISTERED AND
OPERATED AS PART OF AND IS SUBJECT TO THE MARYLAND SCHOOL
FOR THE DEAF.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new

language added as a standard establishment

clause. Ch. 247, Acts of 1867, which is

uncodified, originally established the Maryland
School for the Deaf.

Subsection (b) of this section presently appears
as Art- 30, §34.

The only changes are in style.

The Maryland School for the Deaf is located at
Frederick, Maryland. The branch school
established under this section is located at
Columbia, Maryland and is known as the Columbia
Campus Maryland School for the Deaf.

8-305. STANDARDS FOR ADMISSION AND DISMISSAL OF STUDENTS BY
THE MARYLAND SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND.

(A) ADOPTION OF STANDARDS FOR ADMISSION AND DISMISSAL.

THE MARYLAND SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND SHALL ADOPT WRITTEN
STANDARDS FOR THE ADMISSION AND DISMISSAL OF STUDENTS.

(B)   SUBMISSION TO STATE BOARD FOR APPROVAL.

THE STANDARDS AND ANY AMENDMENTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO
THE STATE BOARD FOR APPROVAL UNDER §2-206 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(C)   MODIFICATIONS.

THE STATE BOARD MAY REQUIRE MODIFICATIONS TO THE
STANDARDS AS IT CONSIDERS NECESSARY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77, §103(d).

In this section, the present word "criteria" is
deleted as redundant.

In this section, the present reference to "on or
before January 1, 1978" is deleted as obsolete.

The only other changes are in style.
