in the practice of styling, cutting, fitting, combing,
setting, and any other treatment of wigs, wiglets, falls and
similar hairpieces, and in the practice of manicuring or
pedicuring nails, may be established and taught by a school
of beauty culture duly licensed under subsection (a) of this
section or by specialized schools of beauty culture
established for the purpose of teaching one or more of the
aforementioned courses which are approved by the Board of
Cosmetologists. Rules and regulations governing the
establishment and teaching of these specialized courses
shall be promulgated by the Board of Cosmetologists.

[(e)] (D) Schools of beauty culture may operate
during the day and evening on Mondays through Saturdays,
inclusive, of each week.

[(f)] (E) Schools of beauty culture may provide
courses in cosmetology in any, or all categories leading to
all State licenses in cosmetology for part—time and
full-time students.

All examination fees shall be five dollars ($5.00), and
the registration fees for the issuance of licenses, with or
without examination, shall be as follows:

[(d) Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for electrologists
and thirty-five dollars ($35.00) as examination fee for
electrologists, the examination to be given by a physician
to be appointed by the Board, annual renewal fee of
twenty-five dollars ($25.00).]

[(e)] (D) One hundred dollars ($100.00) for school
of beauty culture. Public and parochial schools, however,
are hereby declared to be exempted from the payment of any
license fees, but are subject to the other provisions of
this subtitle. Annual renewal fees shall be the same as
registration except in the case of schools which shall be
fifty dollars ($50.00).

[(f)] (E) Five dollars ($5.00) for
cosmetologist-aide, annual renewal fee of five dollars
($5.00).

[(g)] (F) One dollar ($1.00) for temporary license.

The above fees for registration, examination and
certification shall be paid in advance to the secretary of
the Board.

550.

(c) Any holder of a license under the provisions of
this subtitle[, with the exception of an electrologist,] who
has been inactive for a period of five years or more shall
be required to take and pass an examination prescribed by
the Board before a renewal of a certificate of registration
