Ch. 846

FOR the purpose of requiring each harness track to pay an

estimated tax on wagers; requiring the State to provide

any security guards requested by a licensee and

requiring a licensee to reimburse the State for

providing security guards; requiring statements to be
filed under oath and signed by certain persons,
prohibiting a licensee from making certain loans under

certain conditions; and generally relating to harness

racing in Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

racing days granted to one track may be run at another

only in case of emergency or extraordinary

circumstances; requiring statements required to be
filed with the Commission to be under oath and signed
by certain persons; permitting race tracks to qualify

for loans from the Maryland Industrial Financing

Authority; requiring that certain conditions be met in
order to qualify for financing from the Maryland
Industrial Financing Authority; clarifying language;
and generally relating to harness racing in Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting with amendments,

By adding to

             Article 41 - Governor Executive and Administrative

                   Departments

          Section 266-DD
