Article 48A - Insurance Code 43 - Health

354.

(G) FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION "DULY CERTIFIED

PSYCHOLOGIST OR PSYCHOLOGISTS" INCLUDES SOMEONE WHO HAS

DEMONSTRATED SUFFICIENT TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, AND----EXPERTISE

IN THE FIELD OF PSYCHOTHERAPY, AND WHO IN LIEU OF

CERTIFICATION HAS HAD A CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION
WITH A SCHOOL OF MEDICINE IN THIS STATE FOR AT LEAST 25

YEARS.

631.

Until December 31, 1959, a person who is at least
twenty-one years of age, is of good moral character, and is
a citizen of the United States or has legally declared his
intention of becoming a citizen may upon application and
payment of the application and certification fees, be
certified by the Board as a psychologist:

(1)    Without examination if he has a doctor's degree
from an accredited institution based upon a program which is

primarily___psychological or the substantial equivalent

thereof in both subject matter and extent of training and,
in addition, has had five years of professional experience
satisfactory to the Board, or

(2)    Without examination if he has a master's degree
from an accredited institution based upon a program which is

primarily psychological or the substantial equivalent

thereof and, in addition, has had eight years of
professional experience satisfactory to the Board; or

(3)    With examination if he has a master's degree from
an accredited institution based upon a program which is
primarily psychological or the substantial equivalent

thereof and,__in addition, has had at least three years but

less than eight years of professional experience

satisfactory to the Board; or

(4) Any person, who prior to June 1, 1957, has been
holding himself out to the public as a psychologist for

remuneration in this State,__shall be entitled to be

certified without examination if he can establish to the
satisfaction of the Board, prior to December 31, 1957, that

he has received by experience or otherwise the substantial

equivalent of the requirements of § 629 of this subtitle[.];
OR

(5) THE BOARD SHALL MAY CERTIFY A PERSON WITHOUT

EXAMINATION IF THE PERSON HAS AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF

EXPERIENCE AS AN INSTRUCTOR IN PSYCHIATRY ON A TEACHING

STAFF OF AN__ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF MEDICINE IN THIS STATE,

PROVIDED THAT APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION UNDER THIS

SUBSECTION IS MADE PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 1979. THE BOARD MAY
STIPULATE IN ISSUING SUCH A LICENSE, THAT EXCEPT FOR
