pharmaceutical scholarship programs provided by this State;
and

(2) THE NEXT $200,000 SHALL BE USED SOLELY FOR

THE PURPOSES OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AUTHORIZED BY

SECTIONS 18-1101 THROUGH 18-1105 OF THE EDUCATION ARTICLE OF
THE CODE; AND

[(2)] (3) Except as otherwise provided by law,
any balance shall be paid directly into the general funds of
this State.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Commission on Medical Discipline - Per Diem

FOR the purpose of authorizing only a certain per diem and
reimbursement for expenses for members of the
Commission on Medical Discipline.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

130.

(f) Members of the Commission [shall] MAY receive [no
salary but may be reimbursed] A PER DIEM AS PROVIDED FOR IN
THE STATE BUDGET AND REIMBURSEMENT for expenses incurred in
connection with their official duties with the Commission in
accordance with the standard travel regulations. FUNDS FOR

THIS PURPOSE WILL BE GENERATED BY AN INCREASE IN FEES

CHARGED PHYSICIANS BY THE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINEES.
