Ch. 792

INVOLVING THREE OR MORE HORSES; AND FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1980

AND ALL SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR YEARS, 13.50 PERCENT OF ALL
MONEY WAGERED IN MULTIPLE MUTUEL POOLS INVOLVING TWO HORSES,
AND 19.50 PERCENT OF ALL MONEY WAGERED IN MULTIPLE MUTUEL
POOLS INVOLVING THREE OR MORE HORSES; and one half (1/2) of
the breakage computed to the ten cents (100) on all multiple
mutuel pools. Regular mutuel pool means a separate wagering
pool in which an interest is represented by a single ticket
evidencing a single wager on one horse. Multiple mutuel
pool means a separate wagering pool in which an interest is
represented by a single wager on two or tore horses. For
the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this section, the
Commission shall have and exercise all of the power
conferred upon it by §§ 11 and 13 of this article.

(b) Each licensee, licensed under § 15 of this
article, shall allocate a sum equal to [5% of the total
mutuel pool] 6 PERCENT OF THE REGULAR MUTUEL POOLS AND 8
PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE MUTUEL POOLS on all races conducted
by it during the year for the current year's purse money.
THE FOLLOWING AMOUNTS ON ALL RACES CONDUCTED BY IT DURING
THE YEAR FOR THE CURRENT YEAR'S PURSE MONEY: FOR CALENDAR

YEAR 1978 ONLY, 5 PERCENT OF THE REGULAR MUTUEL POOLS, 7

PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE MUTUEL POOLS INVOLVING TWO HORSES,
AND 11 PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE MUTUEL POOLS INVOLVING THREE
OR MORE HORSES; FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1979 ONLY, 5 PERCENT OF

THE REGULAR MUTUEL POOLS, 7 PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE MUTUEL

POOLS INVOLVING TWO HORSES, AND 12 PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE

MUTUEL POOLS INVOLVING THREE OR MORE HORSES; FOR CALENDAR

YEAR 1980 AND ALL SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR YEARS, 5 PERCENT OF

THE REGULAR MUTUEL POOLS, 7 PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE MUTUEL

POOLS INVOLVING TWO HORSES, AND 13 PERCENT OF THE MULTIPLE

MUTUEL POOLS INVOLVING THREE OR MORE HORSES. In addition

each licensee shall allocate a sum equal to [.50%] 1 0.50
PERCENT of the total [or] OF ALL the mutuel [pool] POOLS on
all races conducted by it during the year to the Maryland
Race Fund subject to the provisions of § 18A herein.

(C) FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1978 AND ALL SUBSEQUENT
CALENDAR YEARS, THE THOROUGHBRED RACING BOARD MAY AUTHORIZE
ANY LICENSEE UNDER SECTION 15 OF THIS ARTICLE TO RUN ON ANY
DAY NOT LESS THAN 8 RACES INVOLVING MULTIPLE BETTING FOR TWO

HORSES OR MORE THAN 1 RACE INVOLVING MULTIPLE BETTING ON

THREE OR MORE HORSES.

17.

this section shall at its option be permitted to avail

itself of the pari-mutuel betting privileges granted in this

section, retaining for its own use 13 1/2% of the regular

mutuel pool and 14 12% of [the] ANY TYPE OF multiple mutuel
pool, if any, of all money wagered not in excess of $125,000
daily average and 10% of the regular mutuel pool [and],
[11%] 12 PERCENT of the TWO HORSE multiple mutuel pool, if

any, AND 17 PERCENT OF THE MORE THAN TWO HORSE MULTIPLE

MUTUEL POOLS IF ANY, of all money wagered in excess of

$125,000 daily average on all races conducted by it during
