AN ACT concerning
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
(Regional District Boundaries)
PG/MC 74-78
FOR the purpose of amending the definition of the boundaries
of the Regional District in Prince George's County of
the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning
Commission, so as to delete from the Regional District
areas which have been and which from time to time may
be annexed into the City of Laurel as__of a certain
date; updating a certain term; and clarifying language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 66D - Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission
Section 7-103(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 66D — Maryland—National Capital Park and
Planning Commission
7-103.
(b) The entire area of Prince George's County is
within the regional district, with the exception, however,
of the [Town] CITY of laurel, as its corporate boundaries
are defined [as of April 24, 1961] AS OF JULY 1, 1978. [No]
A municipal corporation within the areas added by this
subsection to the Maryland—Washington Regional District [may
be] IS NOT authorized, by means of an amendment to its
charter or otherwise, to exercise any of the powers relating
to planning, subdivision control [and/or], OR zoning [now or
hereafter] granted by the Maryland-[Washington] NATIONAL
Capital Park and Planning Commission or the County
[Commissioners] COUNCIL of Prince George's County. If this
subsection for any reason is held by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, it is [hereby] declared to be
the intention of the General Assembly that this subsection
