to any purchaser until the balance of the purchase price has
been paid in full, together with all taxes and interest and
penalties thereon accruing subsequent to the date of sale.
Upon receipt of said balance and the said subsequent taxes
and interest and penalties thereon, the collector shall
execute and deliver a proper deed to the purchaser and shall
hold any balance over and above the amount required for the
payment of taxes, interest, penalties, and costs of sale,
for the use of the person entitled thereto.

(B) IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, ANY MONEY HELD BY THE
COLLECTOR UNDER SUBSECTION (A) MAY BE DEPOSITED IN AN
INTEREST BEARING ACCOUNT IN A COMMERCIAL BANK. ANY INTEREST
ACCRUED IS PAID TO THE GENERAL FUND OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

CHAPTER 700

(House Bill 1426)

AN ACT concerning

Employment Agency Compensation

FOR the purpose of providing that any employment agency
which knowingly charges, demands, collects, or accepts
a greater compensation for any service performed than
is specified in its schedule filed with the
Commissioner of labor and Industry forfeits its right
to any compensation for that service and shall return
any compensation received.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
