Section 14-1101 through 14—1110, inclusive, to be under

the new subtitle "Subtitle 11. Layaway Sales"
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Commercial Law

12-601.

(1) (3) "Installment sale agreement" does not
include a bona fide C.O.D. transaction OR A LAYAWAY
AGREEMENT AS DEFINED BY § 14-1101(G) OF THIS ARTICLE.

Unfair or deceptive trade practices include any:

(12) Violation of a provision of:

(i) This title;

(ii) An order of the Attorney General or

agreement of a party relating to unit pricing under Title

14, Subtitle 1 of this article;

(iii) Title 14, Subtitle 2 of this article,
the Maryland Consumer Debt Collection Act;

(iv) Title 14, Subtitle 3 of this article,
the Maryland Door-to-Door Sales Act; [or]

(v) Title 14, Subtitle 10 of this

article, Automotive Repair Facilities[.];

(vi) Title 14, § 1102 of this article[.];

OR

(VII) TITLE 14, SUBTITLE 13 OF THIS

ARTICLE, MARYLAND LAYAWAY SALES ACT.
