BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
article 56 — Licenses
Section 335(d) and 338 (c)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1972 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 56 — Licenses
(d) [Any person may be registered as] AS a property
line surveyor [upon completion of the following two
requirements]:
(1) A specific record of eight years experience
in property line surveying of a character satisfactory to
the Board indicating that the applicant may be competent to
practice property line surveying, if he presents evidence of
such experience satisfactory to the Board; and
(2) Successful completion of a written or oral
examination in the fundamentals of property line surveying
and the principles and practice of property line—surveying.
338.
(c) Each registrant is entitled on registration to
obtain a seal of the design authorized by the Board, bearing
the registrant's name and the legend "registered
professional land surveyor" or "[regular] REGISTERED
property line surveyor" as the case may be. This seal is
for the personal use of the registrant only. Plans,
specifications, plats, and reports prepared by a registrant
shall be stamped with the seal or its facsimile and signed
by the registrant when issued to any clients or when filed
with public authorities daring the life of the registrant's
certificate. Any plans, specifications, plats, and records
that are not sealed and signed may not be accepted by any
public authority.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
