COMMISSION SHALL IMPOSE A MINIMUM ASSESSMENT OF $50 UPON ANY
IMPROVED OR UNIMPROVED PROPERTY WHICH ABUTS ON ANY STREET,
ROAD, LANE, ALLEY, OR RIGHT-OF-WAY IN WHICH A SEWER HAS BEEN
BUILT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County — Animal Control

FOR the purpose of providing that in Baltimore County,
certain animal control provisions of State law shall be
enforced by the Baltimore County Bureau of Animal
Control.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 21 — Crimes and Punishments
Section 63, 67, and 67A
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

63.

Any officer of any society or association incorporated
for the prevention of cruelty to animals, duly incorporated
under the laws of this State, shall upon his own view of any
misdemeanor in relation to cruelty to animals make arrests
and bring before any commissioner or District Court
offenders found violating the laws of this State in relation
to cruelty to animals. IN BALTIMORE COUNTY, THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE ENFORCED BY THE BALTIMORE COUNTY
BUREAU OF ANIMAL CONTROL.

67.

If the owner or custodian of an animal is convicted of
any act of animal cruelty, the judge may use his own
discretion in ordering the removal of that animal or animals
