on the board. Any member so appointed shall be appointed to
serve during the unexpired term for which his predecessor
was appointed. Each member of the bedding advisory board
shall serve without salary but shall receive necessary
travel and other expenses while engaged upon the work of the
board in accordance with the standard travel regulations.
The board shall meet annually and at other necessary times
at the call of the chairman or at the request of three
members of the board. The Governor may remove any member of
the board when he ceases to represent the interest in whose
behalf he was appointed, the board may:
(1) Consider all matters submitted to it by the
Department of Health.
(2) Propose rules and regulations necessary to
carry out and enforce the provisions of this subtitle.
(3) Advise the Department, as necessary, in
order to carry out the purposes and intent of this
subtitle.]
SECTION 2. AMD BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all
full—time, salaried employees of the Bedding Advisory Board
shall be transferred to and become employees of the State
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, without any
diminution in salary or benefits; all property, funds,
assets, liabilities, contracts, documents, and records of
the Board shall be transferred to and become the property,
funds, assets, liabilities, contracts, documents, and
records of the State Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene; and all references in the Annotated Code of
Maryland and any other law, ordinance, bylaw, rule,
regulation, order, directive, or document to the Bedding
Advisory Board shall be deemed to refer to the State
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

FOR the purpose of correcting the address of the State
Department of Legislative Reference with regard to a
certain notification concerning the adoption or
rejection of a chartered form of county government.
