(B) ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF THIS
SUBTITLE OR ANY REGULATION, PERMIT, OR ORDER ISSUED
THEREUNDER, IS LIABLE TO A PENALTY NOT EXCEEDING $10,000, AS
WELL AS BEING SUBJECT TO BEING ENJOINED AS PROVIDED IN
SUBSECTION (A). THE MONETARY PENALTY THUS PROVIDED MAY BE
RECOVERED IN A CIVIL ACTION BY THE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE
ATTORNEY GENERAL.

EFFECTUATE ITS INTENTS AND PURPOSES.

DEROGATION OF ANY POWERS OR STATE LAWS IN EXISTENCE   ON JULY

1, 1978, BUT SHALL BE REGARDED AS SUPPLEMENTAL AND IN
ADDITION TO POWERS CONFERRED BY OTHER LAWS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Retirement Systems

FOR the purpose of deleting certain provisions that relate
to membership in the Employees' Retirement System, to
participation in certain local retirement systems by
certain persons, and to certain prior service credit;
clarifying certain provisions that relate to
termination of membership; clarifying and renumbering
certain provisions that relate to regaining of certain
credit; numbering certain provisions; and generally
relating to certain retirement systems.
