appertaining thereto." The cost of the bond shall be paid by
the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County. The
inspectors for Anne Arundel County are known as the "liquor
inspectors for Anne Arundel County." There shall be a
full—time administrator to the board whose annual salary
shall be fixed by the board not exceeding $10,000 nor less
than $8,500. There shall be a full-time secretary to the
board whose annual salary shall be fixed by the board not
exceeding $8,500 nor less than $7,500, and a full—time clerk
to the board at an annual salary of $3,300, and an attorney
to the board, at an annual salary of $4,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

(Senate Bill 1033)

AN ACT concerning

Appointment of Hearing Boards and Hearing Officers —

Time Limits

FOR the purpose of requiring a county board of education and
the State Board of Education to appoint hearing
officers or hearing boards within a certain time of
after receipt of a request for hearing review of a
placement or other decision concerning a handicapped
child; and reviewing decisions relating to an admission
or dismissal at the Maryland School for the Blind and

relating generally to hearing reviews with respect to

the placement of or other decisions concerning

handicapped children.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 8-306(1) and 8-415(a) and (b)(2)

Section 8-306(b)(1), (c), (d) and (f)(1) and 8-415(a),

Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____ of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1978)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ___ of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1978) be repealed, amended, or enacted to read
as follows:
