HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. ARRANGEMENTS FOR THIS PROMPT
TRANSPORTATION SHALL BE MADE BY THE EMERGENCY FACILITY OR IF
TRANSPORTATION BY THE EMERGENCY FACILITY IS NOT AVAILABLE
THEN BY A PEACE OFFICER.

(G) ANY PETITION FOR EMERGENCY ADMISSION UNDER THIS
SECTION SHALL BE VALID FOR THE PURPOSE OF TAKING CUSTODY OF
THE EMERGENCY ADMITTEE UNDER THE PROCEDURES OF THIS SECTION
FOR A PERIOD OF 10 DAYS AFTER THE PETITION IS ENDORSED BY A
JUDGE.

(H) AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 12 MONTHS THE DEPARTMENT
SHALL PUBLISH AND MAKE AVAILABLE A LIST OF EMERGENCY
FACILITIES AND THEIR ADDRESSES. THESE LISTS SHALL BE
DISTRIBUTEE TO EVERY DISTRICT COURT, CIRCUIT COURT, DISTRICT
COURT JUDGE, CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE, SHERIFF'S OFFICE, AND
POLICE STATION IN THE STATE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

Fireworks — Novelty Items Definition

FOR the purpose of including certain novelty items in adding
to the definition of fireworks.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 38A - Fires and Investigations

Section 15(c) (a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 38A - Fires and Investigations

15.

(c) "Class C fireworks" means common fireworks,

designed primarily to produce visible effects by combustion.
Some small devices designed to produce an audible effect are
included, but only when containing less than two grains of
