1568 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 426 (G) THE MEMBERS OF THE CHILDREN'S COUNCIL SERVE REASONABLE EXPENSES NECESSARILY INCURRED WHILE DISCHARGING THEIR DUTIES AS MEMBERS OF THESE COUNCILS.
(H) IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHILDREN'S COUNCILS TO:
(1) EXAMINE ALL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AND PLANS (2) SECURE AND ANALYZE DEPARTMENTAL PLANS AND (3) REVIEW FEDERAL FUNDS UTILIZED AND AVAILABLE (4) IDENTIFY, DOCUMENT, AND COMMUNICATE NEEDS, LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE FOR (5) PROVIDE EFFECTIVE PUBLIC INFORMATION ON (6) PARTICIPATE IN THE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF (7) FORMULATE BYLAWS AND OPERATING PROCEDURES 5. THIS OFFICE SHALL NOT OPERATE ANY PROGRAMS OR PROVIDE ANY DIRECT SERVICES. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of this Act shall terminate on June 30, 1981 and this Act shall be null and void without the need for further action by the General Assembly on that date. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Office established under the provisions of this Act, shall be reviewed and evaluated, on or before July 1, 1983, in a manner consistent with__the procedures provided in Section 486 of Article 41__(pertaining to the reestablishment of certain regulatory boards) of Chapter of the Acts of 1978 (H.B. 611/S.B. 405) and shall terminate on July 1, 1984, if the General Assembly fails to reestablish the Office by statute.
