SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 16 — Chancery

72.

(C) ANY PERSON WHO HAS GRANTED GUARDIANSHIP WITH THE
RIGHT TO CONSENT TO ADOPTION OF A CHILD PRIOR TO JUNE 1,
1967 ALSO MAY CONSENT TO LONG-TERM CARE SHORT OF ADOPTION.
THE CONSENT OF THE GUARDIAN TO SUCH ARRANGEMENTS SHALL NOT
BE VALID UNTIL APPROVED BY THE COURT UPON APPROPRIATE
PETITION AND AFTER SUCH HEARING AND INVESTIGATION AS THE
COURT MAY REQUIRE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund

FOR the purpose of providing procedures in accounting for
the deposit of certain insufficiency assessment moneys,
the payment of any and all surplus recoupments and
their deposit, and the reporting of the use of these
moneys to the Insurance Commissioner; providing a
definition; and generally relating to the insufficiency
assessment and surplus recoupments.
