(1971 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

5 59.

(a) Any persons desiring a license to open a hospital
or related institution or to continue the operation of an
existing hospital or related institution shall file with the
Board a verified application setting forth the name of the
applicant desiring such license, stating that the applicant
is not less than eighteen years of age and of reputable and
responsible character, setting forth the class of hospital
or related institution to be operated, the location thereof,
the name of the person in charge thereof and such additional
information as the Board may require. Applications on
behalf of a corporation or association or a governmental
unit or agency shall be made by any two officers thereof.
ANY PERSON, AS DEFINED IN SECTION 556(K) OF THIS SUBTITLE,
WHO HAS BEEN CONVICTED OF A NURSING HOME OR MEDICAID RELATED
FELONY, MAY NOT BE LICENSED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

(House Bill 475)

AN ACT concerning

Wiretaps - Arson Felonies Punishable under the Subheading
"Arson and Burning" of Article 27

FOR the purpose of adding arson felonies punishable__under

the subheading "Arson and Burning" of Article 27 to the
list of crimes with regard to the commission of which
it is lawful for law enforcement officers to intercept
wire or oral communications.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
