MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Agriculture

5-40 5.

(b) If funds are available [from the sources provided
by § 5—404], the Secretary may construct and maintain
ditches, dikes, dams, and other facilities and may place or
spread insecticides or other substances he determines
desirable or necessary to control or eliminate mosquitoes in
any part of the state.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
