4-204. COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT RESPONSIBLE FOR ADMINISTRATION
OF OFFICE OF COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT.

(A)   ADMINISTRATION OF OFFICE OF COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT.

ACTING UNDER THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COUNTY
BOARD, THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
ADMINISTRATION OF HIS OFFICE.

(B)   GENERAL DUTIES.

AS THE EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE COUNTY BOARD, THE
COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT SHALL SEE THAT THE FOLLOWING ARE
CARRIED OUT:

(1)   THE LAWS RELATING TO THE SCHOOLS;

(2)    THE APPLICABLE ENACTED AND PUBLISHED BYLAWS
OF THE STATE BOARD;

(3)   THE POLICIES OF THE STATE BOARD;

(4)   THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COUNTY
BOARD; AND

(5)   THE POLICIES OF THE COUNTY BOARD.

77, §§ 58 and the first sentence of 68(a).

4-20 5. POWERS AND DUTIES OF COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER POWERS GRANTED AND DUTIES
IMPOSED UNDER THIS ARTICLE, THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT HAS
THE POWERS AND DUTIES SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
as the introductory language to this section and
to indicate clearly that the powers and duties
enumerated in this section are not exclusive.

(B)        COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT MAY ADMINISTER OATHS TO
WITNESSES.

THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT MAY ADMINISTER OATHS TO
WITNESSES IN ALL APPEALS OR CASES THAT COME BEFORE THE
COUNTY BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 77, §59A.

In this subsection, the present reference to
