Pensions, of the Annotated Cede of Maryland be renumbered to

be Section(s) 11(2) through 11(19), respectively.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the--books,

records, papers, and other personal property of the Maryland

Employees Retirement Review Board, which is abolished by

this Act, are transferred to the Board of Trustees of the
Employees' Retirement System of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all laws or

parts of laws, public general or public local, inconsistent

with this Act, are repealed, to the extent of the

inconsistency.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, 1. BE IT

ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That a task

force shall be appointed by the President of the Senate, and
the Speaker of the House of Delegates, to consist of five

persons appointed by the President, and five—persons

appointed by the Speaker, representing the General Assembly,
State, local and municipal governments, business, economic
and labor interests, to study and evaluate ways and means of
eliminating mandatory retirement laws for employees in
State, county and municipal governments and in the private
sector in Maryland; and that the task force shall prepare
and submit no later than December 1, 1978, its
recommendations to the General Assembly for its
consideration during the 1979 session.

SECTION 7 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979 1978.
