CHAPTER 164

(House Bill 1775)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County — Sanitary District

FOR the purpose of permitting the governing authority of the
Sanitary District to reserve sewerage and water
treatment capacity for certain uses; and limiting the
amount of capacity that may be held in reserve.

BY adding to

The Public Local Laws of Carroll County
Section 15-25A

Article 7 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1976 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 7 - Carroll County

15-25A.

THE GOVERNING AUTHORITY OF THE SANITARY DISTRICT MAY
RESERVE SEWERAGE OR WATER TREATMENT CAPACITY FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SCHOOLS OR OTHER PUBLIC BUILDINGS, FACILITIES
OR SERVICES, OR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT. THE AMOUNT OF
CAPACITY HELD IN RESERVE MAY NOT EXCEED 15 PERCENT OF THE
SYSTEM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
