Ch. 122
(b) The Secretary may commission any employee of the
Department as a law enforcement officer. An employee so
commissioned and assigned law enforcement duties has and may
exercise the powers of a natural resources police officer or
a law enforcement officer of the State. These powers may be
exercised upon:
(1) Properties owned by the state and managed by
the Department pursuant to this title; [and]
(2) Railroad rights—of—way and utility properties
which are not owned by the State, but which traverse
properties owned by the State and managed by the Department
pursuant to this title [.]; AND
(3) ALL ROADWAYS WHICH ARE WITHIN THE
BOUNDARIES OF STATE PARKS.
[(3)] (C) In exercising the powers granted under
SUBSECTION (B) OF this section, [forest or park wardens] THE
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER shall make every attempt to minimize
delay of the operations of railroads and all utilities.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning
Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Compact
FOR the purpose of adding an amendment to the Atlantic
States Marine Fisheries Compact to enable certain
states to designate the Atlantic States Marine
Fisheries Commission as a joint regulatory agency for
certain purposes and under certain circumstances;
generally relating to the Atlantic States Marine
Fisheries Compact and Commission; and making this Act
effective upon the happening of a certain contingency.
