MARVIN MANDEL, Governor:
Present Art. 66 1/2, §5-1-1(b), which limits
the applicability of this subtitle to dealers
in "vehicles of a type subject to registration", is incorporated in the definition of "dealer" in §15-101(b) of this
title. Present Art. 66 1/2, §5-101(c), which
permitted certain persons to carry on business
under preexisting licenses, is deleted as
obsolete; its grant of authority expressly
expired as of April 30, 1971. 15-303. LICENSE FOR PARTNERSHIP OR CORPORATION. (A) GENERAL RULE.
A LICENSE MAY NOT BE ISSUED TO A PARTNERSHIP OR
CORPORATION AS SUCH.
(B)        INDIVIDUALS REQUIRED TO APPLY; ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES.
(1) IF AN APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE IS MADE FOR A PARTNERSHIP, THE LICENSE SHALL BE APPLIED FOR BY AND ISSUED TO ALL OF THE PARTNERS AUTHORIZED TO ACT FOR THE PARTNERSHIP. IF THE APPLICATION IS MADE FOR A CORPORATION OR FOR A PARTNERSHIP BY A CORPORATE PARTNER,
THE LICENSE SHALL BE APPLIED FOR BY AND ISSUED TO THREE
OFFICERS OF THE CORPORATION WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO ACT
FOR IT.
(2)
IF AN APPLICATION IS MADE FOR A
PARTNERSHIP, THE LICENSE SHALL BE APPLIED FOR AND ISSUED
TO ALL OF THE PARTNERS WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO ACT FOR THE PARTNERSHIP. HOWEVER, AS TO ANY SUCH PARTNER THAT IS A CORPORATION, THE APPLICATION FOR THE CORPORATE PARTNER SHALL BE MADE BY AND ISSUED TO THREE OFFICERS OF THE CORPORATE PARTNER WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO ACT FOR IT.

ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES.
EACH INDIVIDUAL WHO APPLIES FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS
SECTION ASSUMES, AS AN INDIVIDUAL, ALL RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE DEALERSHIP AND, AS AN INDIVIDUAL, IS SUBJECT TO
ALL CONDITIONS, RESTRICTIONS, AND PENALTIES IMPOSED ON
LICENSED DEALERS BY THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§5-103.1.
The phrase in the first sentence of present
§5?103.1, "only ... individuals authorized to
act for such partnership or corporation" is
transferred to subsection (b) of this section
for clarity. Thus, in the case of a limited
partnership, for example, limited partners not
