(3) IF THE NEW REGISTRATION IS ISSUED ON OR
AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH OF THE
REGISTRATION YEAR FOR THAT CLASS OF VEHICLE, THE
REGISTRATION FEE IS ONE HALF OF THE REGISTRATION FEE
ORDINARILY REQUIRED FOR THE NEW REGISTRATION, WITH A
CREDIT FOR SO MUCH OF THE OTHER FEE ALREADY PAID AS IS
ALLOCABLE TO THE LAST SIX MONTHS OF THE REGISTRATION
YEAR.

without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§3-822.
It has been revised to delineate more clearly
the meaning of the present reference to "a
license for a higher classification" and to
conform to the current interpretation and
practice as to the meaning and applicability
of the phrase.
As to transfers of registration to another
vehicle of a person who has sold a registered
vehicle, see §13-502.1 of this title.
As to registration years, generally, see
§13-412 of this title.
13-908. REFUND OF OVERPAYMENT.
IF THE ADMINISTRATION DETERMINES THAT AN OVERPAYMENT
HAS BEEN MACE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, THE ADMINISTRATION MAY
SUBMIT THE OVERPAYMENT AND THE SUPPORTING INFORMATION,
WHETHER ACCOMPANIED BY A WRITTEN CLAIM OR NOT, TO THE
STATE COMPTROLLER FOR REFUND TO THE PERSON ENTITLED TO
IT.
