8-719. ISSUANCE OF PERMIT; NUMBERING.
(A) ISSUANCE.
THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL ISSUE A PERMIT UNDER THIS
PART TO ANY APPLICANT WHO HAS COMPLIED WITH THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS PART.
(B) NUMBERING.
THE PERMITS ISSUED UNDER THIS PART SHALL BE NUMBERED
CONSECUTIVELY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is
new language added to express the presently
implied duty of the Administration to issue a
permit for an outdoor sign that qualifies
under this part.
Subsection (b) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the
first clause of the second sentence of Art.
56, §205.
8-720. APPEALS.
ANY PERSON WHOSE APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT UNDER THIS
PART IS REJECTED BY THE ADMINISTRATION MAY APPEAL TO THE
BALTIMORE CITY COURT OR TO THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR ANY
OTHER COUNTY IN WHICH THE OUTDOOR SIGN IS TO BE
LOCATED. THE APPEAL SHALL BE HEARD DE NOVO.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 56, §204(i).
A more accurate reference to the "Baltimore
City Court" is substituted for "Supreme Bench
of Baltimore City".
The only other changes are in style.
8-721. INFORMATION TO APPEAR ON SIGN.
ON EACH OUTDOOR SIGN FOR WHICH A PERMIT IS REQUIRED
UNDER THIS PART, THERE SHALL BE WRITTEN PLAINLY, IN THE
MANNER THAT THE ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES:
(1) THE NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS OF THE PERSON
OWNING OR CONTROLLING THE SIGN; AND
(2) THE NUMBER AND EXPIRATION DATE OF THE PERMIT
FOR THE SIGN.
