COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

Code Home Rule pursuant to Article 25B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of such
resolution, public hearings were held pursuant to Article
25B of the Annotated Code of Maryland; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to such hearings on the 20th day
of July, 1976, the County Commissioners of Worcester
County, passed a resolution adopting Code Home Rule
status and certified same to the Board of Election
Supervisors of Worcester County, pursuant to Article 25B
and 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland; and
WHEREAS, such matter was presented to the registered
voters of Worcester County, Maryland, pursuant to
applicable provisions of the law in the manner prescribed
by said Article 25B of the Annotated Code of Maryland on
November 2, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Election Supervisors of
Worcester County, on the 4th day of November, 1976,
certified the votes from such election to the County
Commissioners of Worcester County by notification that
the majority of those voting on such question cast their
votes in favor of the adoption of Code Home Rule in
Worcester County.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
WORCESTER COUNTY, MARYLAND, do hereby proclaim the
adoption of Code Home Rule status in Worcester County
pursuant to Section 7 of Article 25B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland to become effective on the 30th day
following the date of this Proclamation pursuant to said
law.
