4366 MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
the corporate boundaries of the City of Rockville so as
to include a tract of land known as the Goldberg—Immerman
Tract, containing 5.9 acres, more or less, located on the
vest side of Seven Locks Road approximately midway
between Great Falls Road and Montrose Road; and
WHEREAS, upon verification that the requirements of
Section 19, subsection (c) of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, had
been complied with, a resolution was introduced on March
8, 1976, proposing to change the boundaries as requested
in the Petition for Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has provided a
proposed outline for the extension of services and public
facilities into the area proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, thereafter a public notice of said
Resolution was published not fewer than four times at not
less than weekly intervals in the Montgomery County
Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in the City
of Rockville and the area to be annexed, the said notice
specifying that a public hearing would be held on said
Resolution in the Council Chamber, Rockville City Hall,
by the Mayor and Council at 8:30 P.M. on July 12, 1976;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council conducted a public
hearing on said Resolution at the time and place provided
for in said advertisement; and said matter having been
fully considered and deliberated by the Mayor and
Council, and said Council having decided that said
Resolution should be adopted;

RESOLUTION: To Provide for the Enlarging of the
Corporate Boundaries of the City of Rockville to Include
a 96.214 acre tract of land known as the Watkins Tract
WHEREAS, heretofore a Petition has been presented to
the Mayor and Council of Rockville proposing to enlarge
the corporate boundaries of the City of Rockville so as
to include a tract of land known as the Watkins Tract,
containing 96.214 acres, more or less, located between
Montrose Road and the Woodmont County Club and generally
south of the existing corporate boundaries; and
WHEREAS, upon verification that the requirements of
Section 19, subsection (c) of Article 23A of the
