(House Bill 1909)
AN ACT concerning
Alcoholism - State Grants for the Care and
Treatment of Alcoholics Loans for Private
Care and Sales Tax — Vendor's License Fee
FOR the purpose of authorizing the State to make grants
to certain corporations for the care and treatment
of alcoholics; and defining the terms and conditions
upon which the grants may be made. Department of
Health and Mental Hygiene to create a revolving fund
for loans to certain private facilities for care and
treatment of alcoholics, providing for the
conditions of the loans; increasing the license fee
for retail sales tax vendors and providing for the
manner of this application; clarifying language;
providing for an appropriation of funds for
1977-1978 fiscal year for the program of loans to
alcoholism facilities; and providing for loans for
private alcoholism facilities from the proceeds of
the increased fee for retail sales tax licensees.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 309 of Article 2C - Alcoholism, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
