that notice be given to parents or guardians under
certain circumstances; providing for an exception;
and renumbering certain subsections.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 135(a) and (c) of Article 43 -
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 43 - Health
135.
(a) A minor shall have the same capacity to
consent to medical treatment as an adult if one or more
of the following apply:
(1) [The minor has attained the age of
eighteen (18) years.
(2)] The minor is married or the parent of a
child.
