CHAPTER 933
(House Bill 335)
AN ACT concerning
County Commissioners - Franchises
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners
of each county to grant a community antenna
television (CATV) system franchise; and authorizing
the County Commissioners to establish rates, rules,
and regulations for these franchises ; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 3(a) and (c) of Article 25
County Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows: new Section 3C be and it is hereby added
to Article 25 - County Commissioners, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume and 1976
Supplement) to read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
(3).
(a) (1) The county commissioners of each county
in this State, [except Worcester, (except as provided in
subsections (1), (s) (2), (x) and (x-1) hereof), Prince
George's, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Howard and
Queen Anne's (except as specifically provided in
subsection (f)) counties,] in addition to, but not in
substitution of, the powers which have been or may be
granted them, have the following express powers.
