CHAPTER 924
(Senate Bill 1042)
AN ACT concerning
State Highway Administration -
Disposal of Property
FOR the purpose of requiring that property acquired for
certain projects that have been abandoned be
disposed of in the same manner as other surplus
highway property providing that the Secretary, of the
Department of Transportation may allow the use,
disposal, or transferral of certain property from an
abandoned highway project for a transportation
purpose prior to the disposal of such property; and
modifying a provision dealing with the right of the
transferor to use the land.

Section 8-309(b), (e), (f) Section 8-308(a) and
6-309 lb)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 8-309(b) (e), (f) Sections
8-308 (a) and 8-309 (b) of Article - Transportation, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by Chapter____of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977) be and it is
they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
Article - Transportation
6-308.
(a) Any land acquired under this subtitle may be
used by the transferor of the land in common with the
Administration until [highway construction on the land]
CONSTRUCTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION PROJECT actually
begins.
