MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
The foundation [shall], on or before November 1 of
each year, SHALL transmit to the Governor AND TO THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY a report of its proceedings and activity
for the preceding fiscal year, including an inventory of
all easements or other interests in agricultural land and
woodland acquired during that time, AND INCLUDING A
REPORT ON THE CONDITION OF THE MARYLAND AGRICULTURAL LAND
PRESERVATION FUND. 2-507. [The Secretary may make staff and facilities
available to the foundation.] THE MARYLAND AGRICULTURAL
LAND PRESERVATION FOUNDATION SHALL EMPLOY AN EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR AND STAFF SUFFICIENT TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES
OF THIS SUBTITLE. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SHALL BE
APPOINTED BY THE SECRETARY UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES AT-LARGE. THE SALARIES OF THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND STAFF SHALL BE AS PROVIDED IN THE
STATE BUDGET. [2-508. In order to be acceptable, a deed to convey an
easement pursuant to the provisions of this subtitle
shall be substantially in the following form, and shall
be properly executed and acknowledged: AGRICULTURAL LAND PRESERVATION EASEMENT FORM This deed of easement, made this.......... day of .........., 19.., between.......... and.........., his wife, herein called grantors, and the Maryland
Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation, an agency of
the State of Maryland, herein called grantee, Witnesseth: Whereas, Subtitle 5 of Title 2 of the Agricultural
Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled
"Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation" was
enacted to permanently preserve agricultural land and
woodland, and Whereas, the foundation was created to receive
property for the purpose of preserving the agricultural
land and woodland or the State; and Whereas, the grantors are the owners of the fee of
real property devoted to agricultural use located in
.......... County, Maryland, hereinafter described, Now, therefore, in recognition of the foregoing and in consideration of the sum of.......... and other valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, the grantors do hereby grant and convey to
the grantee an agricultural land preservation easement in
gross over, and right in perpetuity to restrict the use
