AN ACT concerning
Public Bodies - Meetings
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
FOR the purpose of requiring meetings of public bodies to
be open to the public except in certain instances;
requiring advance notice of open meetings; requiring
public bodies to keep minutes; providing for the
orderly conduct of open meetings; authorizing
certain action to have declared void certain
decisions or actions of public bodies made in wilful
violation of the notice and open meetings
requirements; providing certain sanctions for
members of public bodies wilfully participating in
violations; defining certain terms; and generally
relating to meetings of public bodies.

FOR the purpose of requiring certain public bodies in the
exercise of certain functions to hold open meetings;
to give notice of their meetings and to keep
minutes: allowing meetings of such public bodies to
be closed for certain specified and other reasons;
providing for the orderly conduct of open meetings;
providing for judicial enforcement of this subtitle;
providing that this subtitle is to prevail over
conflicting provisions of other laws unless they are
more stringent; and generally relating to the
meetings of public bodies.
