Ch. 13
LAWS OF MARYLAND
WORKSHOPS AND WHO EARN LESS THAN THE CURRENT MINIMUM
WAGE, AS DETERMINED BY THE FEDERAL WAGE AND HOURS BOARD,
TO TRAVEL FREE TO AND FROM THOSE WORKSHOPS. REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a) and (c) of this
section are new language derived from the
first and last sentences, respectively, of
Art. 64B, §18(a). Subsection (b) of this
section is new language that combines the
provisions of the second sentence of Art. 64B,
§18(a) and Art. 64B, §31. Subsection (d) of
this section presently appears as Art. 64B,
§§8(i) and 31B. Art. 64B, §18 --which related, for the most
part, to revenue bond financing by the former
Mass Transit Authority — was repealed in its
entirety by Ch. 608, Acts of 1976, as
generally obsolete (in this regard, see
discussion below on subsection (b) of this
section and, also, General Reviser's Note to
Title 3 of this article). However, some of the
provisions of §18(a) have current validity,
and therefore, have been readopted as revised
and incorporated in this section. Throughout this section,   the tern "fares" is added to conform to     the like references elsewhere in this title;   see, e.g., §7—208 of
this title. In subsection (a) of this section, the present
reference to "partnership, association, or
corporation" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the definition of "person" in §1—101
of this article. In subsection (b) of this section, the present
reference to revenue bonds and sinking and
reserve funds are deleted as obsolete. The
Administration has never issued revenue bonds
and no longer has this authority, which, by
former Art. 94A, §3—now, Section 1 of Ch.
608, Acts of 1976—is vested in the Maryland
Transportation Authority. Furthermore, the
Administration may not retain revenues in any
reserve since all revenues are credited to the
Transportation Trust Fund; in this regard, see
§3—216 of this article. For provisions
similar to those deleted, relating to charges
set by the Maryland Transportation Authority,
see §3—413 of this article. The only other changes are in style. As to the exercise of the powers and duties
contained in this section, see §7-203(b) of
this title.
