SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 97 be and it is hereby added
to Article 77A — Higher Education, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
to read as follows:
Article 77A - Higher Education
97.
COMMUNITY COLLEGES, STATE COLLEGES, THE UNIVERSITY
OF MARYLAND, TOWSON STATE UNIVERSITY, AND MORGAN STATE
UNIVERSITY MAY ACCEPT AS PAYMENT FOR TUITION, MANDATORY
FEES, HOUSING, BOARD, AND OTHER FEES RELATED TO EDUCATION
FINANCING BY THE USE OF CREDIT CARDS. THE BOARDS OF
TRUSTEES OF THESE INSTITUTIONS SHALL DETERMINE WHICH
CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS PURPOSE. THE
INSTITUTION SHALL CHARGE SERVICE FEES TO SEASONS USING
CREDIT CARDS. THE AMOUNT OF THE SERVICE FEE SHALL BE
SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE VENDOR DISCOUNT OR SIMILAR FEE
CHARGED BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Property Tax Exemption - Ornithological Society
of Maryland
Harford County - Property Tax Credit -
Maryland Ornithological Society
FOR the purpose of exempting from real and personal
property taxes all property owned by the
Ornithological Society of Maryland and situation in
Harford County granting a property tax credit from
Harford County taxes for property owned by the
Maryland Ornithological Society; and changing the
order of arrangement of other property tax credits
in Harford County.
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
