MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                               3265 debt service requirements of the State. (4)    No portion of the proceeds of the loan or any
of the matching funds may be used for the furtherance of
sectarian religious instruction, or in connection with
the design, acquisition, or construction of any building
used or to be used as a place of sectarian religious
worship or used or to be used as a place for sectarian
religious instruction, or in connection with any part of
any program or department of divinity for any religious
denomination. (5)    There is hereby levied and imposed an annual
State tax on all assessable property in the State in rate
and amount sufficient to pay the principal of and
interest on the bonds as and when due and until paid in
full, such principal to be discharged within fifteen
years of the date of issue of the bonds. (6)    This Act shall take effect June 1, 1977.

CHAPTER 827 (House Bill 1502) AN ACT concerning St. Mary's County - Sheriff's Office FOR the purpose of permitting personnel in the Sheriff's
office of St. Mary's County to participate in the
merit system of the County; requiring certain
officials to determine the number of deputy sheriffs
necessary for St. Mary's County; requiring deputy
sheriffs of that County to attend and complete
certain training programs; requiring certain
personnel of that County to establish legal
residence in St. Mary's County price to a certain
time; requiring the Sheriff to supervise his office
and furnish timely reports to certain county
officials; and generally relating to the Sheriff's
office for St. Mary's County. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, The Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County
