THE SENATE. OF THE FIVE MEMBERS, ONE SHALL BE A MEMBER
FROM THE PUBLIC AND FOUR SHALL BE PROFESSIONAL LAND
SURVEYORS. THE PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS SHALL BE
SELECTED FROM A LIST FOR EACH VACANCY OF NOT LESS THAN
THREE NOMINEES RECOMMENDED BY THE MARYLAND SOCIETY OF
SURVEYORS. IF A LIST IS NOT SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNOR
WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER A VACANCY, THE GOVERNOR MAY APPOINT
A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR TO THE BOARD
WITHOUT REGARD TO A LIST. (C)    THE TERM OF MEMBERSHIP IS FIVE YEARS AND
BEGINS JULY 1 IN THE YEAR OF APPOINTMENT, EXCEPT THAT, OF
THE ORIGINAL APPOINTEES, TWO SHALL SERVE A FIVE-YEAR
TERM, TWO SHALL SERVE A THREE-YEAR TERM, AND ONE SHALL
SERVE A TWO-YEAR TERM. AN APPOINTEE TO FILL A VACANCY IN
AN UNEXPIRED TERM SERVES ONLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT
TERM. (D)    THE GOVERNOR, WITH THE ADVICE OF   THE SECRETARY
OF LICENSING AND REGULATION, MAY REMOVE ANY   MEMBER OF THE
BOARD FOR MISCONDUCT, INCOMPETENCY, NEGLECT   OF DUTY, OR
FOR ANY OTHER GOOD CAUSE. 3 25. (A)    THREE BOARD MEMBERS CONSTITUTE A QUORUM. (B)    THE GOVERNOR SHALL DESIGNATE ONE OF THE BOARD
MEMBERS AS CHAIRMAN, AND THE BOARD SHALL ELECT ANNUALLY
FROM ITS MEMBERS A VICE CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY. (C)    A MEMBER MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR
SERVING ON THE BOARD, BUT SHALL BE REIMBURSED FOR ALL
ACTUAL TRAVELING, INCIDENTAL AND CLERICAL EXPENSES
NECESSARILY INCURRED IN CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SUBTITLE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD TRAVEL
REGULATIONS. 326. (A)         THE BOARD SHALL ADMINISTER AND ENFORCE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.        IN ADDITION TO DUTIES
EXPRESSLY CONFERRED ON THE BOARD BY THIS SUBTITLE, THE
BOARD MAY ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS NECESSARY FOR THE
PROPER PERFORMANCE OF THOSE DUTIES. (B)         THE BOARD SHALL ADOPT AND PROMULGATE A CODE OF
ETHICS FOR THE PRACTICE OF LAND SURVEYING. A COPY OF THE
BOARD'S CODE OF ETHICS SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED TO EVERY
REGISTRANT AND APPLICANT FOR REGISTRATION UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE. (C)          THE BOARD SHALL ADOPT AND HAVE AN OFFICIAL
SEAL, WHICH SHALL BE AFFIXED TO EACH CERTIFICATE ISSUED. (D)         IN ENFORCING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE,
THE BOARD MAY SUBPOENA WITNESSES AND COMPEL THEIR
ATTENDANCE AND MAY REQUIRE THE SUBMISSION OF BOOKS,
