AN ACT concerning
Charles County — Electrical Wiring by Homeowners
10-77
FOR the purpose of permitting a homeowner in Charles
County to install electrical wiring in a home to be
used as his residence subject to certain standards
set by the Charles County Commissioners; and
permitting the County Commissioners to make rules
and regulations governing the issuance of a permit
to a homeowner.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 839A be and it is hereby added
to Article 43 — Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:
Article 43 - Health
839A.
IN CHARLES COUNTY, A HOMEOWNER MAY INSTALL
ELECTRICAL WIRING IN A HOME THAT IS TO BE USED AS HIS
RESIDENCE SUBJECT TO STANDARDS SET BY THE CHARLES COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS. THE CHARLES COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY
ISSUE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE ISSUANCE OF A
PERMIT TO THE HOMEOWNER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
