AN ACT concerning
Alcoholic Beverages - Home-brewed Beer
FOR the purpose of permitting the manufacture of beer
exclusively for home consumption and not for sale;
and clarifying language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3(b) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
3.
(b) [No] A license or permit [shall be] IS NOT
required for the manufacture of wine, BEER or cider
exclusively for home consumption and not for sale. In
St. Mary's County, cider or native wines may be sold by
the maker thereof without a license.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
