SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 557, 558(a), 559(c), 560(b),
561(a) and (b), and 562(a) and (c), and to be under the
Amended subtitle "37. Professional and Executive
Liability Fund" of Article 48A — Insurance Code, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments; and that Section 561(c) of
this Article and Code be and it is hereby repealed; and
that new Sections 559(c—1) and (i) (i) and (i) and
561(c), (d), and (e) be and they are hereby added to this
Article and Code; and all to read as follows:

37. Professional AND EXECUTIVE Liability Fund
557.
This subtitle shall be known and may be cited as the
"Professional AND EXECUTIVE Liability Fund Act."
558.
The purpose of this subtitle is to create a program
to:
(a) Authorize and establish a program which would
make professional AND EXECUTIVE liability insurance
available to all qualified applicants, with the least
possible administrative detail and expense, subject to
the conditions set forth in this subtitle;
