Wicomico County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Salaries of License Commissioners)
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation of the
Chairman and the members of the Board of License
Commissioners of Wicomico County; specifying that
the alteration does not affect the incumbents; and
making this Act an emergency measure.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 155(v)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 155(v) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
155.
(v) In Wicomico County, the chairman of the board
of license commissioners shall receive as compensation,
the sum of [fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00)] $2,000,
per year. Each of the other two members shall receive as
compensation, the sum of [twelve hundred dollars
($1,200.00)] $1,500, per year.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the License Commissioners in
office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
License Commissioners shall take effect at the beginning
of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three—fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
