provisions of this Act shall apply to all seized handguns
held on and after June 1, 1977.

shall take effect July 1, 1977.

(Senate Bill 196)
AN ACT concerning
Gas and Electric Companies - Fuel Adjustment Charge
FOR the purpose of providing when a gas or electric
company may establish a sliding scale of automatic
adjustment of charges for certain costs; restricting
which cost may be subject to these adjustments;
repealing an obsolete reference to dividends;
requiring a public hearing on any changes in these
charges at least every six months, and; providing
for the location of the hearing; and authorizing
requiring the Public Service Commission to order
temporary decreases of rates for certain actions of
a company.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 54 and 54D of Article 78 - Public
Service Commission Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
