TERMS, AND ONE-THIRD SHALL SERVE THREE-YEAR TERMS.
409C.
The duties and responsibilities of the Council
[shall] include [but are not limited to]:
[(1) Advising the State Board of Education in
the development and preparation of the State plan for
vocational-technical education;
(2) Evaluating programs, services, and
activities of vocational-technical education, and
publishing and distributing the results thereof;
(3) Prepare and submit through the State
Board to the commissioner and to the national council an
annual evaluation report, accompanied by such additional
comments of the State Board as the State Board deems
appropriate. This report shall evaluate the
effectiveness of vocational education programs, services,
and activities carried out in the year under review in
meeting the program objectives set forth in the Stare's
longrange program plan and the annual program plan;
(4) Advising the State Board for Community
Colleges with regard to vocational-technical programs,
services, and activities;
(5) Serving in an advisory function in the
implementation of the 1963 Vocational Education Act as
amended, and advising the State Board of Education on the
development of and policy matters arising in the
administration of the State plan.]
(1) ADVISING THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FIVE-YEAR STATE PLAN FOR
VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL EDUCATION;
(2) ADVISING THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ANNUAL PROGRAM PLAN AND
ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT;
(3) DESIGNATING A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE FORMULATION OF THE FIVE-YEAR STATE
PLAN FOR VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL EDUCATION;
(4) PARTICIPATING IN THE FORMULATION OF THE
ANNUAL PROGRAM PLAN AND ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT;
(5) ASSISTING THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION
IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLANS FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE
EFFECTIVENESS OF EACH PROGRAM ADDRESSED IN THE STATE
PLAN;
(6) ADVISING THE STATE BOARD FOR HIGHER
EDUCATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF
VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND FACILITIES;
